What leads you to give greater attention and interest to some things and not others? Why are you excited to share certain things with others? What influences you the most when it comes to giving? You see, each and every choice you make has been influenced, and your influences can be internal or external.
God wants you to give based on what you feel is right for you; this is an internal influence. Your giving can be tied to time, talents, or tithes. Just remember this, don’t feel influenced to give in ways you really don’t want to.
Just as today’s scripture reads, God wants you to give as your heart tells you, not grudgingly or out of guilt. He wants you to see purpose in your giving, so you are motivated with a cheerful heart.
