Faith in Teaching – Day 3

Day 3: Faith in Teaching

If we are looking for the most abundant way to connect Christians with youth, it is our teachers. They have the incredible opportunity to interact with children of all faiths, backgrounds, and experiences more than any other profession in this world. If we choose to support our teachers, we are supporting those who directly impact our future generations. Children are educated by teachers. Teachers may be parents, family, friends, community members, or strangers we have entrusted our children with to be taught.

Please stop dividing teachers. It is not WHERE they teach, but that they teach with integrity, positivity, and respect! While some teachers may be in a place where they can share the Word of God directly with students, others may be in a place where they must use their actions to model God’s Word, bringing it to life as they interact with others. Literally or figuratively, the key is that teachers do their part to make it happen! Scripture does NOT discriminate or eliminate those who teach merely based on a job title or school type, geographic location, or grade level.

It is written in Mark 1:17 that Jesus wants us to follow Him and become fishers of men. He never limited us to one “body of water” to fish for others. It honestly does not matter if teachers are at a public, private, parochial, charter, cyber, hybrid, or homeschool setting, they are fishers of men as they interact with students each day. Faith in teaching applies to all locations and teacher types.

Please support ALL teachers, lift them up as they seek guidance, do whatever you can to help strengthen their relationship with God, to read His Word for direction, to follow His teachings, and feel supported by their communities! We have an opportunity to make this world a better place. Please pray for our teachers! #faithinteaching
