Did you notice the marks on the sand in the picture with today’s post? These are the marks of a giant sea turtle coming into a beach in Florida to lay her eggs. It is absolutely amazing to not only find these tracks, but to know that she is returning to the place where her life began as a sea turtle. And…her hatchlings will also find their way back to the ocean the same way, and then return themselves to the same place when they are old enough to lay eggs. This deep-seeded notion to continue with the plans placed before them is something we all could learn.
However, it must be told, there are a few hatchlings that head the opposite direction each year. Yet, they never survive on that path. If they head the other direction, away from the ocean, they are destroyed by other animals and the elements! The ocean is their only option to survive and remain alive; it is the path that was laid before them for generations.
We are not much different. You see, many of us often seem to want to go our own way, to do our own thing. And we hope that God will meet us where we are. But, sometimes it doesn’t happen, and we are destroyed by the elements and cannot survive. We need our water; we need Jesus Christ!

Follow Him! If we listen and acknowledge Him in all our ways, He is waiting to guide us.
