Integrity and character are not easy to find today. Unfortunately, we live in a “me-centered” world, where people say and do things to get what they want. Emotions change quickly and people’s motives shift. Of course, integrity and character have never been a 100% guarantee at any point in life. Nevertheless, witnessing a heart of goodness being bruised is extremely difficult.
Making Godly choices based on integrity and character can lead to us losing things we faithfully prayed for. We may have placed our trust in God and fought hard to not worry about what could happen…and then it happens! We end up disappointed and emotionally broken. Even in those dark moments, I hope you remember:

Life can be cruel! Social conformity is constantly pursuing you to make decisions that can strip your confidence, identity, and character. Be strong, have faith; God is with you! Don’t let others deceive you.

You are good enough; your identity lies in Christ, not in your circle of friends. Follow what is good; follow God. Let your heart reveal the true you!
