Money or time? Both things are essential in life and it seems there is never enough of either one in our day. Do you value one more than the other? God allows us to make choices. He provides us with all that we need, but we often overextend ourselves with those things we want, yet don’t need.
Even as I write this, I am contemplating the next step I want to take with a business idea. One that will I hope will give me an opportunity of greater freedom with money and time. Am I wrong in pursuing my venture? How can I be sure God is with me? My plan is to serve God and intently listen for His voice. I will not chase after things beyond my needs.
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24
Though the work to rid oneself of past debt and sin is not easy, knowing we will gain the freedom of serving God with our time, here on earth and eternally in Heaven, makes it the right thing. Serve God in all you do!
