No Stone Unturned

I was recently talking with someone and I mentioned leaving ‘no stone unturned’ in my pursuit of wellness. It then hit me, like a ton a bricks.

As I began digging for more knowledge, I pushed aside small stones of information to find larger ones with greater evidence, and then began chipping away at boulders of doubt. Those boulders are the heaviest to overturn. (Maybe you feel the same thing, just in a different situation.) I was making little progress, feeling like I lost momentum and direction, and the disbelief from others was causing me to feel mentally defeated.

As tired and weak as my body was at that time, I knew there had to be more; I had to continue, there had to be an answer to what was happening to me. I truly believe God provided me with the needed strength. So, I continued (and still continue) to dig deeper and leave no stone unturned in my pursuit of health, but in a way quite different from my original goal. The true beauty and grace from God is that today I realize that I am not only leaving no stone unturned with my physical self, but I am also pursuing and finding answers that are strengthening my spiritual self.

You see, the Bible mentions stones (rocks) numerous times, often in regards to them bringing us back to our foundation, even for us to recognize the need for patience.

“Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.” ~Isaiah‬ ‭28:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God is my foundation, both physically and spiritually. Our salvation through Jesus Christ is what matters most, and I am so blessed to leave no stone unturned, even though this was not where I expected to find myself when I started this journey. I was looking to regain my health and I regained something even greater…my spiritual self.

“Have you not even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.” ~Mark‬ ‭12:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

No matter what you do, leave no stone unturned in your pursuit of the Truth. It will change your life.
