You may never forget what has happened in your past, but find peace with it. If you do not, the emotions and experience will continue to consume a portion of your body and mind that will never be able to heal. Pursue peace, even in the most difficult times. As Jesus commanded, “you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:39 NKJV)
What is holiness? What is unrighteousness? Here are some verses to help get you started, but don’t stop searching and reading the Bible; it is filled with powerful words to guide you.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.” ~Psalms 51:10-12 NKJV
~~~
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” ~I Corinthians 6:9-10 NKJV
KNOW THIS:
Pursuing holiness is not impossible, but it needs to be a conscious decision in our daily lives because of sin. You can let go of your past and be cleansed. It is not too late to pursue peace and holiness. Give your life to Christ.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” ~John 3:16-17 NKJV
God bless!
